About SecureGard
SecureGard is a small UK team building employee monitoring software the way we'd want it built for our own teams — transparent, GDPR-compliant, and explicitly designed to respect the people on the other side of the screen.
Why we exist
Most workplace monitoring tools come from one of two extremes: either heavy enterprise platforms that drown SMEs in features they will never use, or scrappy "stealth" agents that try to hide from the people they're tracking. Both make the conversation about productivity harder, not easier.
We built SecureGard for the middle: a focused product that gives a manager the information they actually need, while making sure every employee can open the same dashboard themselves.
What we believe
- Transparency builds trust. Hidden monitoring is bad for culture and risky under UK GDPR. SecureGard's agent shows up in the menu bar and the employee can see their own report at any time.
- Less is more. Daily reports, app and website summaries, and optional screenshots are usually enough. We deliberately avoid keystroke logging, webcam capture, and other categories of data that cross the line.
- Data sovereignty matters. All customer data is hosted on UK infrastructure, behind your own subdomain, in an isolated database.
- Working hours are working hours. The agent auto-pauses outside the schedule you configure. Personal time stays personal.
Where we're based
SecureGard is registered in the United Kingdom and our infrastructure is located in the UK. For the purposes of UK GDPR, we are a UK data controller (for website visitors) and processor (for our customers' employee data).
